It’s been 8 years since I moved to San Francisco (from the far away reaches of Palo Alto…) , and I’m as in love with it as ever.
I don’t think I’ll ever tire of walking up and down its hills; climbing its many stairways and exploring its side alleys; experiencing different versions of the same place depending on if its bathed in sunlight or shrouded in dense fog; getting to know its neighborhood streets by heart; finding my favorite houses and trees and murals and secret trails; feeling inspired by all its vibrant people.

Lyon, 90-something years old at the time of the interview, was still exploring the city: “I see pictures I would like to take … I need another lifetime to photograph San Francisco.”
That’s how I feel on so many days: that I could explore for years and still find new things – or the same things in a new light! – that move me.
Last Sunday was one of those days, and it inspired me to add to my list Reasons 52340 – 52346 I love San Francisco:
